All weather pitch floodlight repairs carried out against the odds.

Elec Cert Ltd were asked to assist with the repairs to a 12 mtr hinged floodlighting column after it had been accidentally released causing a near miss & wiping out the 3 x 1000w fittings that were attached to it when it crashed to earth.

With restricted access to the base of the floodlight & onto the artificial playing surface the client had tried in vein to get any contractors to attempt the repair.

The biggest issue we had was to get the column back into a position where an attached hoist at the base of the column was hitched onto the lifting eye which was now 12 mtrs in the air !

This turned out to be a bit tricky as the maximum sized lifter would only reach a height of 6 mtrs, with the aid of a 6 mtr pole & the steady hand of Cory Mcgreevy we managed to attached the hoist & bring the column back into a position to allow the repairs to begin.

We are pleased to say that the column is now back in the correct position & the safety carabiner has been reinstated to prevent any repeat accidents. #eleccert, #kingfisherlighting, #lightingrepairs
